The Regulations

Since 2001, the care industry has been regulated. The current regulator is the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and they have set out 5 Key questions that all providers are measured against, they are:

What is live-in-care/nursing?

Live in Care is when the care worker lives with you in your own home. Unlike standard homecare, where you would get 3-4 visits a day from a number of different care workers, a live in care worker is with you 24 hours a day.

There is usually a team of 2 who will rotate around each other to ensure you always have a care worker with you at all times. The only thing you need is a spare room for the care worker to sleep and have a little privacy plus washing and bathing facilities.

You may find that live-in care for you or a loved one is difficult to find, especially at a cost that works for you.

Live-in care at Pinnacle Caring is cost-effective. While on first glance, it may seem similar to what you would pay to stay in a care home, but unlike a care home you get one to one support 24 hours a day.

Live-in-care vs Care Home

Most people would rather be cared for in their own homes. Residential Care Homes have their place and provide a valuable service but there is no place like home and most of us would choose to stay living at home for as long as possible. This is one of the biggest benefits of having a Live in Carer. Being at home in familiar surroundings is much better for your wellbeing and you will have a carer on hand to give one to one help you whenever you need it. You simply cannot get this level of attention in a care home because the ratio of staff to residents can be 1:8

Your live in carer is there to support you anytime you need it and can help you get out of the house to do the things you love. This is not so easy in a care home because staff will be caring for a number of residents at the same time, so you simply don’t get the same level of attention as you would with Live in Care.

Unlike Residential care you will not have to leave your home if the care provider fails or goes out of business.

How it works?

Pinnacle’s carers work in a team of two to provide you round the clock assistance in the security of your home.
We will ensure that the live-in care we provide is flexible and meets your needs.
Where our hourly-based carers would not usually use your home, with live-in carers, you provide accommodation, kitchen, bathing and washing facilities

Looking for additional care for my Father after Mother passed away, was something of a ‘leap in the dark’ for me as I had no experience to date of being in such a position. Whoever I may have opted for, it would have been with some trepidation but ‘Pinnacle’, as the weeks went by, proved more than adequate in all aspects of their care. Though most of the time he was cheerful, sociable and certainly ‘enjoyed the attention’, due to his condition he could also be awkward and contrary. Pinnacle took all this in their stride and I know he came to be fondly thought of. They did a sterling job in looking after his needs; medication, food, dressing, showers, etc. The staff were always punctual and professional and communicated well with me, his only son. I visited every day during this time; any questions or concerns I may have had at any time were quickly and efficiently dealt with via a telephone call. About Pinnacle Caring Services

Pinnacle Caring Services is a CQC-regulated live-in care provider based in Blacon, Chester. A trained carer lives in the person's own home and supports them day to day, while our Chester team assesses needs, writes the care plan and oversees the care. Our home area is Chester and Cheshire West, and we arrange live-in care elsewhere in England when we can staff it safely.

Who are Pinnacle Caring Services?

Pinnacle Caring Services Ltd is a live-in care provider with its registered office at the Parade Enterprise Centre, Blacon, Chester. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and rated Good overall. Pinnacle is a CQC-regulated care provider and is not an introductory care agency.

Where do you provide live-in care?

Our home area is Chester and the rest of Cheshire West and Chester, including Ellesmere Port, Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham and Neston. We can arrange live-in care elsewhere in England after an assessment, when we can staff the care safely. We do not provide care in Wales. See areas we cover.

How much does live-in care cost?
